2006 Swimsuits

From LoveToKnow Swimsuits

The time is ripe for picking out new 2006 swimsuits.

2006 Swimsuits

If you want a shot at the best of the 2006 swimsuits being offered, early June is the optimum time to shop. Don't worry if you haven't yet waxed, or lost those last few winter pounds, neither has nearly anyone else. The important thing is to get in there while the hottest styles are still available, because they're bound to go fast.

Trends

Tankinis, a blend of tank tops and various bikini bottoms are still one of the hottest swimwear trends for 2006, and there seems to be no end to the combination of tops and bottoms being offered. The tankini looks fabulous on the most perfect shapes, and helps to hide a number of problem areas on not-so-perfect figures too.

Bottom pieces seemingly know no bounds this year, with crop pants and full length bottom pieces lending swimwear a sporty, but still sexy look. Want something more sassy? Try a skirted bottom. These pieces look terrific with string, halter or tank top styles. Even traditional bikini bottoms are now available in many variations including boy shorts, and sarong styles.

Collections

Let's take a look at some of the 2006 swimwear being offered by the industry's most sought after designers and manufacturers.

ViX

ViX is a favorite of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, and always a leader in swimwear trends each spring. This flirty Peach Flowers swimsuit is featured in SI's 2006 issue. For a fabulous one-piece, take a look at this Thais Purple strapless swimsuit.

Sauvage

Sauvage offers lots of bikini wear, but also has a few sultry one-piece swimsuits in it's 2006 line up. Just look at this Sahara swimsuit, with sophisticated print and plunging neckline, or their Tie Dye swimsuit, for a one-piece that is barely there at all.

Salinas Swimwear

Salinas Swimwear's Multi Chiquita Halter Bikini is a great example of the mix and match print style. The top sports sassy chili peppers, while the bottom is done in a sunset strip motif. Two completely different looks that look absolutely terrific together.

Letarte

Letarte is always on the cutting edge and has also been featured on Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Models. For something a little out of the ordinary, check out this OJ Flower Bikini with full top. Or how about a Wacky Waikiki Bikini with pull-on skirt?

OndadeMar

Did anyone say itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny yellow polka-dot bikini? Ondademar offers their own version with this sensational Pop Dots Bikini, complete with square connectors that became so popular in the 2005 season.

Victoria's Secret Offerings

Leave it to Victoria's Secret to assemble a collection of the trendiest swimwear being offered this season. Batik is definitely in and Victoria's has it in multiple styles including the Tankini, a flirty ruffled skirt with banded halter, and drop dead sexy bandeau top with low-rise bottom bikini, all from Beach Sexy.

More good news, you can mix and match tops and bottoms for just the look you want, including these fabulous matching crop pants.

Of course it wouldn't be Victoria's Secret if they weren't offering a little something extra. Many of the current 2006 swimsuits also include selections made with Miracle Bra technology to give you the maximum support and enhancement.

Plus Sized Designs for 2006

There is no shortage of fashionable plus sized swimsuits for 2006. Finally, marketers have realized the untapped sales potential in providing high quality, terrific looking suits for larger women. No more gaudy prints in the same old one-piece power construction. This year's plus sized suits run the gamut of bikinis, tankinis, and sexy one-pieces that will even make thinner beauties jealous.
