Bikini Competition
From LoveToKnow Swimsuits
Participating in a bikini competition is a fantastic way to show off the tight, toned body you've been working on, in addition to flaunting the great taste you have in beachwear. Have you developed the perfect tan? Well, slather some shimmer lotion on and highlight that, too.
If you're more into watching contests than participating, find out where the nearest one to you will be happening or watch them online. Bikini competitions are what youthful summers are all about.
Looking Your Best in a Bikini Competition
If you want to win, but you're afraid you don't have the most impressive body on the beach, don't worry. That's not necessarily what it takes. Remember that confidence is the key to attracting both attention and admiration. Seem approachable, fun loving and always, always, always make sure you show people that you really do love your body.
Be Friendly
Being confident doesn't mean that you need to walk around wherever the bikini competition is taking place acting superior to every other girl in the competition, nor do you need to make the crowd think you believe that you're too perfect to talk to them. Just be friendly, smile and have a good time. Definitely work the crowd; everybody loves a flirt!
Beware Certain Foods
You might want to skip the excessive carbs right before the competition. While you don't have to have the perfect body naturally, there's no reason to do things that will cause bloating right beforehand. Once the competition is over, though, celebrate with all the fries, hot wings and whatever else you've been craving!
Achieve or Fake a Great Tan
Another thing that works for anyone participating in bikini competitions, bodybuilding competitions and pageants is getting a dark tan. Tans emphasize muscle tone and hide imperfections. You do not have to get a tan from the sun or from the tanning beds. In fact, quite a few competitors rely upon the magic of a good sunless tan base and layers of body bronzer. You can even find water resistant tanning products that will be your ideal formula in a bikini competition.
Wear Heels
Something else to consider when it comes to emphasizing your fantastic lower body muscles is a good pair of high heels. Every woman knows what a good pair of sexy stiletto sandals will do for her calves, glutes, thighs and overall posture. Choose a pair that you feel confident walking in and that complements the coloring of your swimsuit.
