The Versatility of Swimsuits
Let's see...swimsuits, swimwear, bathing suits, one pieces, two pieces, maillots, bikinis, tankinis, thongs, micros, trunks, board shorts, and speedos. Did we get them all? No matter what you call them, or which style is your personal favorite, swimsuits are an indispensable part of nearly everyone's summer wardrobe, young or old.
It doesn't matter if you actually swim or not, the swimsuit is still a necessity if you plan to spend any time around the pool, or on that sandy, sunny beach. Wear one while you're tanning, to get as much sun exposure as possible, or simply wear one because it's too hot to consider wearing anything else. Add a skirt or a pareo for times when you need just a little more coverage, or add a cover-up or board shorts when you want to join that game of beach volleyball. Swimsuits are flexible, all purpose beachwear.
You can accessorize your swimwear with sunglasses, beach towels, sandals, flip flops, sun hats, visors and probably many other things you can think of. The point is to enjoy your swimwear, have fun with it.
Swimsuits All Year Round
Swimsuits aren't strictly relegated to the summer season either. There are plenty of ways to enjoy swimsuits in the off-season as well.
Perhaps you're one of millions of people who purchase Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition every winter? Whether it's the beautiful images of the world's top models in tropical climes that draws you, or the chance to get a peek at the next hot swimwear fashions for the coming season, you can enjoy it all while looking out of your window at the chilly scenery.
Swimsuit calendars are one more way to enjoy the beauty of swimsuits all year long. Whether you prefer The Dallas Cowboy Cheer Leaders, or The Sexiest Men of Reality TV, there's a swimsuit theme calendar available to satisfy anyone's fancy.
So let's hear it for swimsuits. They may be just small articles of clothing, but they are an integral part of the summer scene. What would we do without them? Don't answer that.
