Delta Burke Swimwear
From LoveToKnow Swimsuits
Delta Burke swimwear is designed especially for the full figured woman. What makes Delta's swimsuits so special? We'll show you!
About Delta Burke
If you're wondering what really sets Delta Burke's swimwear apart from other plus sized swimsuit lines, you only need to look at her life for the answer.
Delta has always been a beautiful woman, but she has waged a life long struggle with health and weight issues. From being selected Miss Florida in 1974 to what is perhaps this actress' most famous role as Suzanne Sugarbaker on television's Designing Women, Delta has had to deal with her weight issues under relentless media scrutiny.
After years of struggle, Delta finally managed to find a balance between personal health and her body's natural propensity for curves. The thing is, no matter what her weight was, Delta always understood how to dress to her best advantage.
So, why should you consider Delta Burke swimwear? Who could understand the needs of a full figured woman any better? Delta has shared the same feelings many of us have about the dreaded swimsuit shopping experience. Yet she's designed suits that will make any woman feel beautiful from the moment she puts one on. That alone is worth taking a closer look.

Swim Dresses
Delta's line offers a number of swimsuit styles, but her specialty is this season's newest must have suit, the swim dress. Swim dresses are figure flattering because of the way they drape across your curves. The suits cover just enough of your hips to hide what you might rather cover, yet they are undeniably sexy.
Delta's swim dress selections include:
- Color Block one piece swim dress: This basic black suit instantly reinvents your figure from the moment you put it on. The clever use of lighter color blocks on the side of the swimsuit actually draws your eyes to the black center of the bodice, slicing inches off of your outline. The suit comes in either aqua or magenta blocks.
- South Seas swim dress: This swimsuit features a flattering hibiscus print top half over a black dress bottom. This suit streamlines your figure with a hidden control lining and soft cup bra.
- Nautical Square Grommets swim dress: If you prefer a little less flare and a little more form fitting style, this attractive swimsuit is right up your alley. It comes with the standard figure sculpting features that Delta swimwear is famous for.
One Pieces
The one piece is a timeless classic that is sure to never go out of style.
The Delta Burke collections includes:
- Faux Finish one piece: Who says a plus size swimsuit has to be black? You'll find stunning shades of green, aqua and royal blue in this one piece. The all-over pattern keeps attention from focusing on a single feature, and the keyhole-style back piece makes slipping shoulder straps a thing of the past.
- Scoop Neck Tank: Simple yet chic is the best way to describe this stylish one piece. A sharp zig zag design dominates and draws attention to the top half of the suit, while the solid black bottom takes the emphasis off of your hips.
- Rio: This one piece is just too pretty to pass up. The top half of the suit is covered in a mosaic of tropical flowers with a solid bottom. This suit also features a high neckline, which is a great way to minimize attention on your cleavage.
Tankinis
Can't decide between a swim dress or a one piece? Have the best of both worlds with a Delta tankini.
Delta offers:
- Skirtini: This floral topped tankini features orange tropical blossoms and foliage paired with a skirt bottom.
- Halter Tankini: The beautiful floral halter top on this tankini provides excellent support that actually minimizes the appearance of your bust line. The A-line skirt bottom is also quite figure flattering.
- Sport Tankini: If a skirt bottom isn't your style, perhaps this streamlined stripe tankini will do the trick. The loose fitting V-neck tank is paired with a full coverage scoop bottom. Delta includes soft cup support, a keyhole back piece and a tummy tamer lining..

Hi Mrs. Lisi,
We are so sorry that this happened to your suit! The best thing you can do is to contact the company directly (maybe they'll be able to send you a replacement?). Thanks for the post and good luck to you!

I purchased a Delta Burke Swimdress last summer - I wore it for only 3 months just sitting by the pool and occasionally going into the pool. Each day I rinsed the swimdress completely after removing it and hung it up to drip dry.. HOWEVER I can no longer wear the swimdress as it appears that the fabric is all worn out - it is a black suit and looks white now and you can see the fabric lines as it looks all stretched out.. I was shocked as it was expensive for me to purchase.. Have you had any complaints about the same thing happening from other consumers? Would you like me to mail it to you to have your laboratory test the fibers? I am so sad as I loved the style and now have to purchase a new suit for this summer. Thanks for your help and I do hope you test the fabric for durability more in the future...
