It is something of a misnomer to refer to extreme male swimwear as "swim" wear. For the most part, it's not something that will hold up to swimming, although you can certainly try. While there are those who appreciate hairy men, the look of extreme swimwear is such that smooth skin is demanded. You'll also feel sexier once it's done.

Accessories are encouraged, and they add interest to the look. Many men like extreme swimwear for showing off piercings, but you can also wear necklaces, great sunglasses, headbands and hats, bracelets and anklets.

Although the goal is a tan, you mustn't neglect sunscreen. Be sure to use organic sunscreen, especially on your most sensitive skin where you don't want to absorb chemicals.

Men have the advantage over women when it comes to shopping as for the most part, if they go by hip measurements, they can be guaranteed of a fit and don't have to try anything on. The bulk of men's extreme designs are made of four-way stretch Lycra, so you can be confident that you will be fully accommodated as necessary.
