Parke & Ronen was founded by Parke Lutter and Ronen Jehezkel, two fashion designers who wanted to create simply classic clothes that are modern while also containing a certain degree of timelessness. “We think of swim wear as real fashion, and so our philosophy is exactly the same when developing our swim collections and our sportswear collections.”

When asked what’s different about designing swim wear for men when compared to women, Parke told us, “Well, for one, you have a smaller canvas to work with. Women's allows you to work with the whole torso; with men's, it's basically a short or a brief. Second, you have a narrower range of possibilities because, in my opinion, generally the more attractive and sexier menswear is going to be more classic and masculine. Because of all these things, mens design, and especially men's swim, really focuses the skill of the designer on making subtle refinements the difference between fabulous and failure.”

Also, this team makes it clear that they “take a lot of inspiration from our customers. They are a diverse bunch, but they all lead very active lives and also have many moods. So it’s a combination of responding to their desires and providing direction.”
