Serena Williams Swimsuits
From LoveToKnow Swimsuits
Serena Williams swimsuits photos show the famous tennis star at her physical best and for her fans, there are plenty of images available to view.
Serena Williams:Tennis Star
Serena Williams turned tennis professional at the age of 14 and has since won four grand slam titles in the singles division: The US Open, the French Open, Wimbledon and the Australian Open. Along with her sister, tennis star Venus Williams, Serena has brought excitement, stylish flair and a new fashion vibe to the tennis courts.
Great Physical Shape
Tennis is an excellent sport for keeping players fit. Anyone who plays tennis gets full body conditioning through a wide range of motions. Not surprisingly, professional tennis players have enviable bodies that are well-toned and muscular, and this has gotten more than one athlete into the photo layouts of swimsuit and fitness magazines. Serena Williams is no different. She is proud of her athleticism and is not afraid to show off the body that hard work and perseverance have wrought.
Body Confidence
Serena Williams is clearly a confident woman who is comfortable in her body, and this is a must for pulling off many swimsuit looks. While she may not have the stick-thin bikini model body that is so prevalent today, she knows she is an athlete and has publicly stated she is not interested in starving herself for an unrealistic size.
This point was artfully illustrated in a statement Williams made to tennis writer Jon Wertheim of Sports Illustrated. In the article, Serena notes that no matter how little she eats, she'll never be a size two. Borrowing a phrase from the multi-talented Beyonce Knowles, Ms. Williams states she's simply "bootylicious". We couldn't agree more!
The Sports Illustrated Issues
Men the world over eagerly await the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition that comes out every year. In the 2003 and 2004 issues of this celebrated magazine, the Serena Williams swimsuits were just as sexy as anything Elle MacPherson has ever worn.
- A white Anne Klein bikini was topped with a gauzy white shirt by B with G for a breezy effect. This is a look that will translate well to a resort or pool party, allowing you to show off a hot bikini while still allowing some coverage.
- The 2004 40th Anniversary Swimsuit Edition saw Serena Williams posed seductively in a pool wearing a gold halter top bikini from designer Norma Kamali.
- In the 2004 edition, Serena Williams is featured in a black swimsuit by Keiko. This one-piece is anything but boring. It’s almost like a two-piece suit with sheer fabric connecting the top and bottom pieces. Serena shows off a body that years of tennis playing have rewarded her with.
- Serena also graced the 2004 edition in a black, strapless swimsuit by Cyn & Luca.
Like all Sports Illustrated swimsuit editions, the photographs of Serena in her designer swim wear are tasteful and inviting, prompting male viewers' admiration and making women ask "Where can I get that bathing suit?"
Serena Williams Swimsuits
If you would like to own one of the suits Serena famously modeled in Sports Illustrated, be sure to check out top fashion designers such as Norma Kamali, Anne Klein or Nike. Because new styles are constantly coming out, you may not be able to get the exact same designs Serena modeled, but white bikinis and halter top swimsuits will be easy to find when bathing suits start hitting the stores again.
On and Off Court Fashions
Serena Williams is rarely content with the traditional all-white tennis ensemble. She has played matches in an all black outfit with tall boots, a black PUMA catsuit and purple and pink skirted ensemble. Her off-the-court style is just as fearless as her play on the court. Serena loves fashion and pursues an interest in the industry with her sister, Venus.
At different events, she has been spotted in a little black dress, a little white dress and many more eye-catching styles.
ANARES
Serena admits that she has always been keenly interested in fashion and when not playing tennis, indulges her inner designer by styling clothes. In 2004, she launched her own clothing line named ANARES, which is Serena spelled backwards. ANARES designs tend to be as bold and daring as the designer herself. She’s smart enough to realize that although her tennis career will one day come to an end, she still needs to be involved in something she enjoys. While ANARES currently offers runway style fashions, it will soon launch a lingerie line and with any luck, Serena William's swimsuits will be added to this collection..
