- Just because it's sunny doesn't necessarily mean it's warm. Sunshine can give the illusion of a hot summer day, even when it's really not. More than one swimsuit model has spent her day in and out of sixty-something degree waters getting those sexy shots, warming up in between with some hot tea and blankets while the next shot is being set up. Who says these women don't earn their pay?
- Speaking of that pay, it's not nearly what you might expect. Top models and new talent are all competing for a spot in the best calendars, and the old rules of supply and demand apply here just as they do with any other business in a capitalist system.
Overall, the perks and downers seem to even out, and few models will turn down the chance to appear in the more prestigious swimwear calendars when the career boosts can be immeasurable.

Australian Swimsuit Calendar

Hooters
Though it's filled with over 250 beautiful swimsuit clad women, the Hooters Swimsuit Calendar is really more of a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the genre. The names of the months have been cleverly adapted to things like "Babeuary", and the photos themselves are in oversized format. By their own standards, Hooters admits the calendar really isn't useful as such, but it is a real "hoot" if you'll pardon the pun. This one is available to you for only $12.95 US.
Playboy
Nothing rings in the holidays like the Playboy Swimsuit Calendar. Expect to see a mix of provocatively clad, and not-so-clad swimsuit models and celebrities. This one retails for $15.99 US.
