Tiny Bikini Bottoms
From LoveToKnow Swimsuits
Tiny bikini bottoms can make a big difference in the way your swimsuit looks and feels.
Know Your Tiny Bikini Bottoms
To some people, one swimsuit bottom is little different from the next, but there is quite a difference in styles to the discerning eye. Come learn the particulars of each style so you can tell one from the others and choose one for yourself- if you dare.
Scoop Bottoms
The scoop bikini bottom is the industry standard. It provides a fit similar to bikini brief underwear, the most coverage of any smaller bikini bottom. Both rear cheeks are completely covered, and the front of the piece fully covers the pubic area.
Brazilian Bottoms
The Brazilian bikini bottom is the first generation of truly tiny bikini bottoms, and divides into three varying degrees of coverage:
- The tanga provides half moon coverage for each rear cheek and has a low rise front.
- The Asa Delta provides about one third less cheek coverage than the tanga, with the same low rise front.
- The Fio Dental provides only a narrow strip of fabric to cover the area between each cheek.
Micro Bottoms
If you're shy about wearing a Brazilian bikini bottom, wait until you see a micro thong bikini bottom. This style features a small triangle in front to cover the pubic area and an even smaller triangle at the base of the spine to cover the rear. Both patches are held together by either string ties or thin strips of elastic.
Mini Micro Bottoms
This is an abbreviated version of the micro bikini bottom. The small front triangle has been reduced by about one third, but the rear triangle remains about the same.
Open Triangle Bottoms
This bottom piece is similar to the original micro bottom, except for the fact that the rear triangle is now open rather than filled with fabric.
Micro Triangle Bottoms
Take the open triangle bottom, reduce the front triangle by about one fourth, and you have the micro triangle.
V-Bottom Triangles
Although this bikini bottom uses slightly more fabric than the micro triangle, the front of the suit is cut into a plunging v-line that nearly reveals your very last secret.
G-String Bottoms
Now we have entered seriously miniscule bikini bottom territory. Take the original micro bottom, chuck the rear triangle completely, and replace it with a string. Voila, you have a G-string.
Mini Micro G-String Bottoms
Imagine if you will, the G-string bottom with the front triangle reduced by one third. This leaves just a few square inches of fabric and a few strings to cover your assets.
Super Mini Micro bottoms
This is almost as bare as you can get while still wearing a bikini bottom. Remember, we said almost. This bottom piece is made from mere strings and the tiniest sliver of a triangle to cover your front.
Peekaboo Bikini Bottoms
At last we come to the final level of tiny bikini bottoms. The peekaboo bikini bottom is basically a contraption of strings that covers virtually nothing.
If you're wondering why anyone who chooses a peekaboo bottom piece bothers with a bottom at all, you're not alone. Perhaps the package is just a bit more tantalizing when it's tied up with a little ribbon?
Conclusion
Now that you have a working understanding of all the mini bikini bottom styles, it's time to ask yourself if any are the style for you? You don't have to be a super model to wear one successfully, but you should at least be in reasonably good shape.
In addition to being fit, you're also going to have to endure the dreaded bikini wax, because pulling off one of these looks requires baby smooth skin. If you think you can meet both requirements then perhaps you are ready to dare wearing the smallest swimsuit bottoms on the planet.
