Hello, The best thing you can do is ask the professional who is performing the wax. Since this person has intimate details about the formula they are using, they'll best be able to guide you. Thanks so much for the post!

If the waxer doesn't get all of the hair, is it safe to shave when you get home? Or will that cancel out the effects of the wax and the hair will grow back in sooner?

Hi Allie,

Doing a test run may be a very good idea- this way you can see how you feel about it, and if it's uncomfortable for you "growing back in". Although, since you're still in high school, it's not really necessary for you to have one. While it's a personal choice, we think you probably look beautiful enough without it. Have a great time on your trip!

I am going to Punta cana in the dominican republic and Iv never gotten a brazillion before I am in highschool, so im not sure if this is even the right thing for me any ways, but i was wondering if I do deside to get it done should I do a "test run" before I deside to get another (before the trip?)

Hi Kristin,

Great question! It seems that all the experts agree- get it done a few days before you intend to go into the water (probably 2 or 3 days before). And you're absolutely right, if you get a bikini wax right before going into the water, it will sting like crazy! I hope this helps, and have a ton of fun in Hawaii!

I'm thinking about getting some waxing done soon (not sure to what extent yet) and I'm wondering if the salt water (I'm headed to Hawaii!) is going to be an issue. I imagine it will, so really my question is how soon before hand I should make my appointment. It's going to be my first waxing below-the-belt experience! Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks
